Rooibos (Aspalathis linearis) is a natural herb indigenous to South Africa. Rich in antioxidants, natural rooibos is a versatile herb that can be used in hot and cold beverages.  Red Bush, which is its native name, is a dark reddish color. Rooibos has a sweet nutty taste with mild bitter notes and a smooth aftertaste. It blends well with flavors such as vanilla, berries and pomegranate.  Applications for rooibos include ready-to-drink iced tea, red lattes and red cappuccinos.
